PAYMENTS AND SHIPPING FAQ

Frequent questions  about issues related to payment by credit card through PAYPAL.

In this FAQ we would like to explain why you may have the problems with Pay Pal payment. Payments with credit cards via the PayPal circuit are no longer possible, use the appropriate Stripe circuit, Paypal can only be used for payments with an Active Paypal balance or debit on a current account connected to it.

PAYPAL has decided not to take responsibility for the management of sensitive credit card data and not even to take responsibility for the necessary filings.
In a totally unilateral way, it has decided to give sellers such responsibilities in front of the banks and the card issuing and management circuits.
We sellers have no visibility on payment methods and ABSOLUTELY do not see the data of the cards used in transactions.
For this reason we have decided to refuse this tax and it will no longer be possible to pay by credit card via PayPal, you can still continue to take advantage of the remaining credit or debit on your current account.
The credit card can simply be used through Stripe’s ultra-secure service.

We believe in safeguarding and protecting our customers, and we do not accept that they are jeopardized by third party business choices.

Therefore, if you are still interested in purchasing, please do by credit card, possibly with PAYAL balance.

How quickly will the order be processed? FAQ

We do not accept 24 hours shipping. Depending on availability, the shipment may take a couple of days. In case of excessive delay you will be contacted by us.

Who pays the import taxes?

Import taxes (in case of non-EU shipments) are paid by the customer.

Frequent questions (FAQ) about  the conditions for return or exchange of the filter?

To accept the return / exchange of the filter, the filter must be as it arrived at the customer with no sign that it has been tried. Dirty filter or signs of use, touch cannot be accepted for a possible change for another model.

FUEL FILTERS FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Why filter at the filler when refueling?

The gasoline is clean, and it doesn’t rain so far. It comes from an industrial process so precise that you are not mistaken, but how far must you go to get to your tank? As clean as it is an excellent solvent / cleaner, imagine when it cleans when you use it to degrease or remove what other solvents or cleaners have not been able to take away. Well, the answer already buzzes in your head: pipes, tanks, deposits, pumps, tires, guns, every moment before entering your tank, it passes and washes everything away. And when it is in your bike it will all be to the detriment of your filters: high pressure fuel pump, injectors and combustion chamber. Filtering with Guglatech means drastically reducing the damage due to contamination, both ‘natural’, due to the ‘life cycle’ of petrol or environmental contamination (suspended dust, rust, or anything else that is conveyed during refueling), fraudulent and here not I say more.

How long does the filter last?

Our petrol filters have been designed not to have a finite life. the matrices are very large, huge if compared to the original filters on the petrol pumps. The saturation of the membranes may sooner or later lead to a slowdown during refueling but will greatly improve filtering efficiency.

Is the filter washable?

Washing a filter that has been designed to improve its fuel system safeguard function as it becomes dirty is counterintuitive. Is the filter washable? YES. Does it make sense to wash it?
NO! The dirtier it gets, the better it works. DO NOT wash it.

Why don’t you have to wash the filter?

We have worked a lot in the development of increasingly evolved matrices dedicated to petrol filtration and water separation. One of the basic parameters is the accumulation of the material with its entrapment inside the matrix itself.
By washing the filter with simple petrol with a few drops of petrol cleaner, the filter will lose all the dirt which improves its ability to trap dirt gradually smaller and will be less efficient.
A dirty filter will ALWAYS be more efficient in trapping small particles.

To wash the filter, can I turn it inside / out? (FAQ)

NO! Our production process, unique in the world, creates total airtightness of the walls, unlike other filters on the market which are ‘banally’ sewn, allowing dirt to pass through the needle holes and between the edges of the ‘fabrics’. It could be damaged by ruining the filter. An inverted filter will NOT be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Does the filter have an expiration date?

No! the filter is perfectly compatible with fuels for internal combustion engines. We cannot guarantee for other more or less ‘legal’ additives or for ‘scams’ where more or less aggressive chemicals are disposed of in a totally illicit manner. But the filter doesn’t have a finite life.

How many kilometers can it last?

Questions from customers include often this one. Our friends and customers are very careful to always give us information and ‘reports’ on the good functioning or duration of the filters. To date, the longest running is a first X-GEN series with more than 70,000 km…. No, it didn’t stop working and it didn’t break. Our friend has only changed his bike and is no longer driving with the same filter. So no, we have no idea how many tens of thousands of KM a filter of ours can ‘last’. Technically only a melt of tar could make it useless, but a few drops would destroy your pump much sooner, so I would say that the data does not have much influence.

Can the filter always stick out of the petrol?

Our materials are 100% compatible with any type of automotive fuel.

Does the filter stop water?

Yes, the filter is water repellent. And we always and constantly work to improve its characteristics of separation and retention of water from gasoline. However, the presence of alcohol or gasoline additives, saturation due to excess water or other chemical / physical actions, could lead to partial dripping from the membrane. The filter was created to safeguard sudden very dangerous floods with copious quantities of water. All this would make refueling very slow, immediately giving the refueling notice that something is not going well. To remove the water it will be enough either to use a trivial tube and siphon the liquid with the filter mounted, or to disassemble it and turn it over like a bottle, then reassemble it quietly, obviously DO NOT TURN IT OUT.

Does the filter stop dirt?

The main function of the filter is to safeguard the entire fuel system. Years of research and development have been dedicated to the design of an extremely efficient membrane in separating and segregating harmful particulates for both the pump, primary filters and injectors. To date we are very close to the filtration achieved by the original fuel pump filters. We have developed filters even higher than the ISO parameters for automotive filtration, but the slowness during refueling and the customer’s request for an exceptional filter without excessively penalizing the refueling made us desist from implementing such special technologies. Our filters are the most efficient and effective in the world, and we know this because we ALWAYS conduct internal and comparative tests to ALWAYS be the best and ALWAYS offer the best technology for the application.

How slow is the filter and refueling?

The question is insidious. Let’s see why: Three examples, KTM 690, BMW R1200LC GS / ADV, Acerbis 20 LT. You choose the bike where to mount it. The first two models are equipped with a petrol filter as large as the seat of a bar stool, the other a mug of medium beer.

But the problem is NOT the filter, but the application, the shape of the tank, the filling hole, and above all the arrangement of the filter.

In a tank with 90 degree folds, very narrow walls, less than 2.5 cm, yes, you read right 25mm of space for the gun to enter, how do you think the gas can drain? Our membranes are capable of hundreds of liters per minute per square decimeter, but if the filters have no space what can they do? When gasoline in foamy form, you will have noticed that it is NOT liquid right? Try to pass through our filters, find the obstacle of the membrane, a liquid passes easily, a foam does not. At the same time, perhaps a part of the membrane touches a wall and nothing passes from there, and then, VERY IMPORTANT, to enter the gasoline, the air MUST exit the tank at the same speed. All this determines a notable diversity of supply of the various tanks. The example above? Acerbis, practically how not to have the filter, BMW R1200LC, given the phenomenal shape of the very fast tank, KTM690? a real tragedy. Same membrane, same surface, the only difference is the shape of the tank. We design filters to protect your motorcycles, but motorcycle / tank manufacturers don’t always think like us.

AIR FILTERS

Is Guglatech filter washable?

Guglatech air filter is based on the totally synthetic matrix, therefore it very easy to wash it.

How can I wash it?

If dry, not oiled, luke warm water and neutral washing up liquid or neutral dish washing soap. If oiled, follow the instructions of the oil producer. In case of the recommended oil by Guglatech, simply use the same procedure of luke warm water and neutral soap. This is thanks to the fact that Rock Oil Factory Eco-Foam, recommended by Guglatech is 100% biodegradable.

What is the best oil for Guglatech filters?

We recommend only Rock Oil Factory Eco-Foam, because of its extraordinary technical specs. Other oils are surely compatible, but we cannot guarantee that specifical cleaning procedure will not damage rubber frame.

Why to oil the filter and to which extent?

Our matrix has very high filtration efficiency ‘dry’. Oiling them makes  air filters the most  efficient  and protective in the world. It is important to oil the filter on 2 sides in case of heavy enduro and/or adventure trips.

What is the filter made of?

Totally synthetic proprietary compound.

What is the difference between ULTRA4 and SUPER4 ?

ULTRA4 has higher density in order to guarantee excellent protection under every condition, oiled also against finest dust. The SUPER4 air filter has been design for sports/race applications. ‘Dry’ to use only for race track and competitions. ‘Oiled’ for street use makes it the most protective sport air filter in the world.

Why should I grease the rubber?

Sometimes we have customers’ questions about the grease. We recommend to grease the rubber in order to guarantee and obtain the best sealing, regardless of some airboxes defects. Check our instructions and/or Youtube videos for specific recommendation for your bike/airbox.
